Music Therapy as a means of empowering our tenants.

Music is the key to human emotions regardless of age. A song that accompanied our childhood, a verse that we sang softly for years can evoke moments that have been indelibly engraved in us.

Our center, believing in the scientifically proven results of music therapy, integrates it in the therapeutic programs, as through it your loved one can keep important memories and process his thoughts.

Recent scientific findings suggest that seniors with dementia, including those who can no longer communicate, respond positively to listening to songs that were part of their previous lives.

In addition, it has been shown that older people who participate in music therapy gradually improve their communication skills, as they make decisions faster, try to speak more clearly and answer questions in a more pleasant mood.

Also, seniors with Alzheimer’s who have lost the ability to communicate often even manage to sing song lyrics from their past while listening to music.

Music has the power to mobilize even the inactive elderly. Residents who are able through music therapy manage to move their body, as they are carried away by music and exercise effortlessly gaining a mood for life.

Even wheelchair users can keep up with the pace as much as they can, for example by moving their hands in time to keep up with the music, thus maintaining their physical activity. As a result in many cases it helps to increase traffic and manage their weight.

The entertainment or otherwise the education of the soul has no age. It does not require physical health but is a necessary condition! The soul of every elderly person through music laughs, travels, remembers and dreams. We provide the motivation and the souls of our tenants hope in the dream!
