“Aineias” is a unit in which care and welfare services are provided. The organization operates based on the principles of welfare and solidarity and with a view to outpatient care and social inclusion of the elderly.
MISSION
Our aim is to offer medical, psychiatric-psychological and “family” care to people in need of support, as well as to offer information on community and citizen voluntary assistance, and to promote these principles.
THE HISTORICAL MODEL
“Aeneas” with a direct reference to its historical model, seeks to give the opportunity of new life to the elderly, providing the possibility of a dignified life based on the rights of every human being from the beginning of his course in the thread of life to the end.
Every person has a unique, individualized story that makes them who they are. At AINEIAS, our Assisted Living program promotes independence and creates a personalized care plan to meet the needs of each of our residents individually. Our customized care plans focus on assistance with activities of daily living and encouragement of our residents to maintain their independence.
A LIFE FULL OF OPPORTUNITY
The structure is therefore called upon to carry on its “backs”, like the epic hero [1], the continuation of the lives of the elderly, who are often marginalized, isolated and eventually abandoned as unproductive citizens, due to the indifference of society as a whole to the rights of these people to a life full of opportunity and meaning until the end.
A NEW ERA
With the transfer of his father, Aineias shows his respect and pays tribute to his ancestor, whom he chooses not to abandon, but to give him the possibility of survival, marking a new era for his family in a new country. It is precisely in this new era that our organization strives for. Seeking new social conditions for senior citizens and redefining the values in society through the principles of volunteerism and social care.
[1] Aeneas refers to both the Iliad of Homer and the Aeneid of Virgil, the main epic of the Romans and is the literary model of pietatis (pietas = piety).
